WHO WE ARE
Art is undoubtedly one of the greatest expressions of the richness of the human soul, both for those who conceive and present it and for those who receive and appreciate it.
For over 30 years, I have experienced, created, loved, and received the highest forms of musical art, thanks to my work as a soprano in the chorus of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
During these pivotal years—sometimes called the "golden years" of the Italian classical music scene—I have had the opportunity to work with historic artists such as Claudio Abbado, Luciano Pavarotti, Anna Netrebko, and many others, learning what it means to explore ever-higher artistic and cultural pinnacles.
With the same enthusiasm with which I took my first steps on stage 38 years ago and ended my collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala, I find myself today presenting an initiative aimed at highlighting and sharing the enormous musical wealth that artists like me and my collaborators have amassed: the OltreVoce Project.
The OltreVoce project, conceived by Silvia Chiminelli, is comprised of a group of artists who have shared years of professional growth as colleagues in the world's most prestigious theaters. These professionals, now members of the OltreVoce choir, will also be the instructors of the Choir Artist Training Courses.

A member of the Teatro alla Scala Chorus in Milan from 1987 to 2024, she created the OltreVoce project and has been a prominent Italian vocal coach for over 20 years, and is a vocal health advocate through her singing method.
Winner of the AsLiCo Competition, which allowed her to debut in various roles, she wrote the book Master Voice.
PIERLUIGI MALICONICO
