The Culture Decree (Legislative Decree 83/2014, converted into Law No. 106 of July 29, 2014) introduced a tax credit for individuals who make donations to opera and symphony foundations of public entities/institutions that, on a non-profit basis, engage exclusively in entertainment.

The tax credit is equal to 65% of the amount donated during the year; for individuals, it cannot exceed 15% of taxable income and, for businesses, 5% of revenue.
